The prairie churches around Yorkton and Preeceville are often a century old, looked after by a small and ageing congregation, and quoted on by almost nobody. We have made a point of taking that work on.
What is usually involved
Steeple and cupola repair or replacement, bell tower access and stabilisation, roof and shingle work at awkward pitches, and foundation and levelling work — often screw piles, since they can be driven around an existing structure without excavating beside it.
Working with a committee
We know these decisions get made by a board, on a fundraising timeline, and often in stages. We are happy to quote the work in phases so it can be approved and paid for as the money comes in.
Respecting the building
The point is repair, not modernisation. Where a detail can be saved rather than replaced, we will say so — even where replacing it would be quicker for us.
